Preservation Award
The Preservation Award is given annually to a person or property exhibiting an outstanding preservation effort. It is Historic Tyler’s highest honor. The award was presented to the Butler-Clyde House at the Annual Membership Meeting on September 25, 2010. Thomas Clyde accepted on behalf of his parents, Calvin and Patsy Clyde.
Nominations will be accepted by writing or email to Historic Tyler, Inc. The Preservation Award for 2011 will be presented at the Annual Meeting on September 17.






The mission of Historic Tyler, Inc. is to promote the preservation and protection of historic structures and sites through education, involvement, and public and private investment.
